Created to commemorate the Testimonial of one of Wales’ Greatest Captains, this Bust piece represents the British & Irish Lions Captain over his two memorable tours. Also available to order in Wales kit.

From Richard: ‘Over the last 53 years at the Groggshop without doubt the most difficult decision we have to make on a regular basis is who to make next. As each master figure takes at least 10 to 12 weeks to complete making a wrong call can be very costly in terms of time. When it comes to the more academic pieces the choice is even more crucial. This is why to date I have made only eight busts which are more portraits than caricature and as a result much more time consuming. For once however with Sam the decision was an easy one. Once in a generation a player of Sam’s stature comes along who is not only an inspirational leader but a great rugby player and from a personal point of view an amazing subject for a sculptor!’

DELIVERY (Mainland UK) – Providing your order is in stock (personalised inscriptions take 1-2 working days) and is placed before 2pm, we will send it out on a Next Day Delivery service via our courier DX. They provide customers with a 2 hour slot for delivery, you should receive this information by email/text message on the morning of expected delivery. You can also arrange delivery for a more convenient day or deliver to a neighbour via their website.
Please make sure you have supplied us with a delivery address where someone will be available to receive the parcel Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm. There are no weekend or Bank Holiday deliveries.
Smaller ‘Gift Shop’ items might be sent via Royal Mail services, this is usually on a Tracked 24 service and takes 1-2 days depending on when it is ordered.
